Kayley Passed Her Automatic Driving Test
Kayley passed her Driving Test today at the first time of asking in a rainy Durham with a single driving fault. Wet conditions, not the best to do your test in but Kayley kept her nerve and smashed it. A great result! Well done!

My wife and I hired a VW Beetle on our recent holiday to Gran Canaria (our first in 3 years!) and if you pass your test, you too can drive these roads. Spectacular!
Pathik Passed!
Pathik passed his Driving Test and I’m so pleased for him. A faithful guardian of the NHS, his new driving licence will now change his life and help with his job. A great bloke with a wicked sense of humour - an he already drives a better car than me!
Driving on an International Driving Licence
We get requests all of the time for Drivers currently holding a full non UK licence outside of the UK but only possessing an International Licence for driving on UK roads. Remember that this licence currently only allows you to drive for a maximum of 12 months in the UK then YOU MUST take and Pass the UK driving tests. In order to apply for the UK driving test (Theory then Practical) you must first apply for a Provisional Licence in order for you to be able to book the theory test and once you receive your UK Provisional Licence, your International Licence (and most probably your insurance) become invalid. You cannot legally drive without being suitably accompanied and insured - the penalty is quite severe for not following the law. Find yourself a decent instructor, if it isn’t us there are many fine Driving Schools in the area. Remember - Keep it safe, Keep it legal!
Protest Drive - Save South Shields Driving Test Centre
A protest drive on Monday 28th February will take place during the morning of 50 Approved Driving Instructors to highlight our continued fight to save South Shields Driving Test Centre. Sorry for the inconvenience but this closure will affect both the Sunderland and South Tyneside areas and it’s a fight worth doing. Lisa passes first time
With great sadness I must announce that Lisa has passed her driving test at the first attempt. Sadness because I’ll have to say goodbye to the delicious Cheesecakes that she regularly made for me. Such a professional creation too. I’m not sad that she passed her test, she thoroughly deserved it!

Driving in Fog
Remember that Driving in Fog or Mist presents different hazards depending on how thick it is, how fast you are driving, whether it’s day or night time. If visibility is reduced, slow down - turn your lights on - if visibility is reduced to less that 100m, turn on your fog lights remembering to turn them off again when visibility is increased to more than 100m as the bright fog lights may dazzle your fellow drivers. Remember, reduce your speed, be seen - Don’t become a statistic!
